Third molar surgery nerve injuries

You must have had a clear indication for removal of your wisdom tooth or teeth. The updated guidelines (see 3rd molar guidelines) provide a holistic approach to patient care to minimise complications.

Nerve injuries are preventable with good surgical approach preventing lingual nerve injuries and presurgical planning with use of coronectomy approach if appropriate for preventing nerve injuries.
